Welcome, my name is Marcel de Hoogd. I am a film sound mixer based in Leidschendam. My interest in audio developed at an early age when I started writing music after listening to my fathers records. As a young adult I took a course for studio mixing, after which I ended up on a film set as a sound assistant. Here I discoverd the art and beauty of analog recording and found my true calling.
In 1997 I worked as a production sound mixer on Oscar winning film Karakter. Since then I have worked on several international productions in countries like the United States, Italy and Turkey. With an all-round positive attitude, I put my knowledge and expertise into practice to get the best sound in any situation.
